Speaking out loud is the scariest thing. Inside, I seem to know how it should sound, but as soon as I open my mouth, the words stumble, my voice sounds strange, and I instantly start to feel shy. Sometimes I feel like a complete clown. Is there a way to overcome this awkwardness other than “just talking more”? Because “more” doesn’t work for me at all.

I try to fight this, and I'm doing pretty well. When I was learning English on my own, I was constantly afraid to use it in public places, afraid of making a mistake. But then I decided to try english for beginners. It changed my mindset. I chose the English for travel course and every day I learn new vocabulary related to this topic. I have already traveled and applied the new knowledge I gained from the Promova course. I feel more confident when I speak English now, and it's all thanks to perseverance and a competent approach to learning.
Start with the simplest lines - repeat after the actors, like an acting rehearsal. Don't aim for fluency - aim for the habit of speaking out loud. The brain gets used to the voice in English as "its own".
