I get that there’s no universal recipe, but maybe there are some little tricks that can really help you set up the process of self-study properly? That would be super useful for me right now.

I like setting specific goals. It’s not for everyone. For some people it’s actually harder when they constantly have to aim for something. I study through the promova english app, and I overall like how the learning process is built there, and there’s the option to close some goals, micro tasks. For example, learn 100 new words in a month. That’s just an example. Or “I want to go to a foreign café in a month and confidently order food in a foreign language.” A habit tracker and reminders also help me.
What works best for me is the principle “doing something small is better than doing nothing.” I try to study at least 10 or 15 minutes a day, but every single day. I study through an app, which is a convenient format for me, so I can fit it into my schedule.
